Ice Storm Recovery - Help Needed
Volunteer assistance is requested to help with debris removal and meet other needs following a devastating ice storm that swept through southwest
Missouri the weekend of January 13th.
If you would like to volunteer, please call the Americorps office at (417) 829-6561.
Get Your Community Heroes ID Badge
If you have not already received your official Community Heroes ID badge, now is the time to get it.
All registered Community Heroes, across the 18 counties of Missouri Highway Patrol Region D, will receive an ID badge. This photo ID will provide each health department with a more efficient way of tracking volunteers and their hours.
If a real public health emergency occurs, all volunteers and staff will have to have an ID badge to have access to the site.
Even if a volunteer has worked in a site before, he/she must have a badge. Without proper identification, the volunteer will not be allowed in a dispensing site.
To get a badge, all volunteers will have to fill out an application and attend a new volunteer orientation. Volunteers who complete both of these requirements needs to make an appointment to have a photo taken.
Please contact Rebecca Ray by email or via phone at (417) 874-1297 to get your badge made.
